Dr Peet van Aardt is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon, working full time at Life Rosepark Hospital in Bloemfontein. His practice is known for specialized spine surgery and General Orthopedic surgeries like Hip & Knee Replacements. Dr van Aardt strongly believes in high quality of service and care.

Dr van Aardt acquired his Bachelor of medicine degree in 1999 and his Master of Medicine degree in Orthopaedics in 2007. He gained extensive experience in the public healthcare sector where Dr van Aardt had the privilege to run the Spinal unit and was the head of the Department for almost ten years. He has more than 23 years of experience in the Medical and Orthopaedic field.

He established his private practice in 2009 where he treats his patients with efficiency, competence and compassion while utilizing all available state of the art resources.

He has a particular interest and passion for Spinal related surgery. Being a member of the South African Spine Society (SASPINE), he continually stays up to date with the latest surgical techniques and available equipment.

Dr van Aardt joined an observership program in 2009 and lived in Ireland and Serbia for a while to gain broader experience in Spinal surgery and techniques.

He knew from early on during his student days that he wanted to specialize in a surgical field. The mechanical and technical aspects of surgery and a more critical approach to his patients compelled him to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Family is significant to Dr van Aardt. He is an avid Cheetah Rugby supporter and enjoys farming on his Pecan nut farm in his recreational time.
